Welcome to Lattice, operated by Cora Tabor! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lattice mobile application ("App," "Service," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using Lattice, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App (or 16 years old if you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland).
By using Lattice, you represent and warrant that:
- You meet the minimum age requirement
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
To use Lattice, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A secure password (minimum 6 characters)
- Optional: Your full name
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You are solely responsible for:
- All content you upload, create, or store in the App
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Any activities or actions taken using your account
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
You may use Lattice for its intended purpose: organizing and managing your craft supplies, projects, and patterns for personal, non-commercial use.
You agree NOT to:
Security & Access:
- Access the App through unauthorized means (hacking, scraping, bots)
- Attempt to bypass security features or authentication
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems to access the App without permission
Content & Behavior:
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Upload content that violates intellectual property rights
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users (if community features added)
- Use the App for illegal activities or purposes
Commercial Restrictions:
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App or its content
- Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
- Frame or mirror any part of the App without permission
System Integrity:
- Overload, interfere with, or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Introduce spam, viruses, or malicious code
- Collect user data without consent
Violation of these Terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or store in Lattice, including:
- Stash item details and descriptions
- Project and pattern information
- Photos and images
- Notes, tags, and custom categories
- Todos and task lists
By uploading content to Lattice, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:
- Store your content on our servers
- Display your content back to you in the App
- Process your content to provide App features (e.g., image compression, data export)
- Back up your content for disaster recovery
We will NOT:
- Share your content with other users (App is single-user only)
- Use your content for marketing without permission
- Sell or license your content to third parties
- Display your content publicly
This license terminates when you delete content or close your account.
You are solely responsible for your content and represent that:
- You own or have rights to all content you upload
- Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- Your content does not contain malware or harmful code
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms, but we are not obligated to monitor user content.
Lattice and its original content, features, functionality, and design are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Our Intellectual Property includes:
- App design, layout, and user interface
- Lattice logo, branding, and trademarks
- Source code and software architecture
- Documentation and help content
- Default categories and app templates
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Download and use the App on your personal device
- Access App features as a registered user
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use our trademarks or branding without permission
Lattice offers a Free tier with basic features and a Pro subscription with premium features.
Free Tier Limits:
- Up to 40 stash items
- Up to 3 active projects
- Up to 10 patterns
- 1 photo per item
- Up to 10 custom categories
Lattice Plus Features Include:
- Unlimited stash items, projects, and patterns
- Up to 5 photos per item
- Unlimited custom categories
- Data export (CSV, JSON formats)
- Cloud sync
- Advanced organization features
- Feature request priority
Billing:
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Apple In-App Purchases
- Pricing is displayed in the App before purchase
- Prices are in US Dollars (USD) and may vary by region
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled
Auto-Renewal:
- Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period
- You will be charged 24 hours before renewal
- To cancel, turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before renewal
Cancellation:
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain Pro features until the end of the paid period
- No refunds for partial billing periods
Free Trial (if offered):
- Free trials may be offered for first-time Pro subscribers
- You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
- Trial eligibility is determined by Apple
Apple In-App Purchases:
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their policies
- To request a refund, contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- We do not have access to Apple's refund system
Our Policy:
- We generally do not offer refunds for completed billing periods
- Exceptions may be made for technical issues preventing App use

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal.
Lattice integrates with third-party services to provide functionality:
Supabase - Database and authentication
Sentry - Error tracking and monitoring
Apple - Payment processing (iOS)
Expo - Development framework
These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content, and your use of them is subject to their terms.
External Links: If we provide links to external websites (e.g., pattern sources, craft websites), we are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Use external links at your own risk.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Key Points:
- We collect email, name, content, photos, and payment information
- We use Supabase for secure data storage with encryption
- We share data only with essential service providers
- You can delete your account and data at any time
- Financial records are anonymized and retained for 7 years for legal compliance
By using Lattice, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
We implement reasonable backup and disaster recovery measures to protect your data, including:
- Regular database backups
- Redundant storage systems
- Row-level security and access controls
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining your own backups of important data
- Exporting your data regularly (Pro feature)
- Not relying solely on Lattice for data storage
We are NOT liable for data loss caused by:
- User error or accidental deletion
- Account termination (by you or us)
- Technical failures, service outages, or force majeure
- Third-party service provider failures (Supabase, etc.)
- Cyber attacks, unauthorized access, or security breaches
USE THE DATA EXPORT FEATURE TO MAINTAIN YOUR OWN BACKUPS. We strongly recommend exporting your data regularly.
We strive to provide reliable, uninterrupted service, but we do NOT guarantee:
- 100% uptime or availability
- Error-free or uninterrupted operation
- Compatibility with all devices or operating systems
- That the App will meet your specific requirements
We reserve the right to:
- Perform scheduled maintenance with or without notice
- Temporarily suspend service for updates or repairs
- Experience unplanned outages due to technical issues
We will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption and provide notice when possible.
We may:
- Add, modify, or remove features at any time
- Update the App to improve performance or security
- Discontinue the App or certain features with notice
Material changes affecting paid features will be communicated in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" feature in App settings
- Contacting us at hello@craftwithlattice.com
Upon account deletion:
- Your profile, stash items, projects, patterns, and photos are immediately deleted
- Financial records are anonymized and retained for 7 years for legal compliance
- Active subscriptions are canceled (no refunds for remaining period)
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- You abuse the App or harm other users (if applicable)
- Your account is inactive for over 2 years (with advance notice)
- Required by law or legal process
Upon termination by us:
- Your access to the App is immediately revoked
- We may delete your data after a reasonable grace period
- You may not create a new account without permission
- No refunds will be issued for violations
Upon termination (by you or us):
- All licenses granted in these Terms immediately terminate
- You must cease all use of the App
- Sections of these Terms that should survive termination (e.g., Liability, Disputes) remain in effect
LATTICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
- Error-free, secure, or uninterrupted operation
- Compatibility with your device or operating system
- Results or outcomes from using the App
Lattice is a craft organization tool, not professional advice. We do not provide:
- Financial advice (purchase tracking is for personal use only)
- Legal advice regarding intellectual property or pattern licensing
- Business consulting or inventory management services
Any decisions you make based on App data are your sole responsibility.
We are not responsible for:
- Accuracy of pattern information, designer names, or external links
- Copyright status of patterns you add to the App
- Content from third-party services or websites
You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to use any patterns or content you store in Lattice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Costs of substitute services or lost savings
- Personal injury or property damage (except as required by law)
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of Lattice shall not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, OR
- $100 USD
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Violations of consumer protection laws that cannot be waived
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lattice, its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
- Your content (copyright infringement, defamation, etc.)
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Unauthorized use of your account due to your failure to secure it
This indemnification obligation survives termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@craftwithlattice.com to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes amicably.
If you are located in the United States:
- Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court litigation
- Arbitration will be conducted by American Arbitration Association (AAA) under their rules
- Arbitration will take place in Clark County, Indiana or remotely
- Each party bears their own costs unless otherwise awarded by arbitrator
- You waive your right to a jury trial and class action participation
Exceptions to Arbitration:
- Small claims court disputes (under jurisdictional limits)
- Intellectual property disputes
- Injunctive relief for Terms violations
You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
If arbitration does not apply, you agree that:
- Disputes shall be resolved in courts of Indiana
- You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts
- Venue is proper in Clark County, Indiana
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lattice regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later. Waiver of one breach does not waive subsequent breaches.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor or affiliate without restriction.
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters, pandemics, war, or terrorism
- Government actions, strikes, or labor disputes
- Internet outages, cyber attacks, or infrastructure failures
- Third-party service provider failures
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date
- For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification
- We will provide a reasonable notice period (typically 30 days)
- Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
These Terms are written in English. If translated, the English version controls in case of conflicts.

If you download Lattice from the Apple App Store, you agree to:
- Comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service
- Acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple
- Acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
- Contact us, not Apple, for support or issues with the App
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
iOS subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings, not the App. To cancel, modify, or view subscriptions:
- Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device
- Or visit the App Store and tap your profile icon → Subscriptions
Lattice is built using open-source libraries and frameworks. We are grateful to the open-source community and comply with all applicable licenses.
